Magazine Genre Selection

The teacher assigned us to finally pick our genre for the upcoming big blog post, the final magazine! I have already spent some time deciding what my magazine will be about. I already know what my genre will be, and it is food and beverage. Something I'm very excited about, mostly because it will contain my culture and something I love to make to express myself and use to help people get to know me.

Why I Chose This Genre

For my Food and Beverage genre I've come up with the idea of including my Turkish culture into the project. There are many kinds of food in Turkey, some many people have never heard of. For example, Dolma, a Turkish cultural savory dish made up of minced meat and rice, wrapped up in boiled leaves or different vegetables. I want people to know where I'm from, and for them to know that I am proud of my heritage and that I want to share it with them.
